• Responsible for project functions are all coordinated and staffed to ensure project deliverables are on schedule.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting standards are maintained throughout the project(S)
• Monitor engineering progress against budget and forecasted schedule
• Prepare cost estimates and project schedules
• Prepare and submit reports on progress and status of the project
• Perform other project engineering and project management related duties
• Maintain project documents, specifications, etc. For projects in progress
• Maintain data integrity for project team (ensuring data can flow effectively)
• Responsible for oversight of technical execution and quality control.
• Reviews plans for compliance with codes, regulations, standards.
• Coordinates project execution.
• Determines applicable codes, regulation, and requirements for assigned projects.
• Develops project scope and selection criteria, and manages consultant selection process, if applicable.
• Coordinates the preparation of, or develops, engineering plans, specifications, and estimates.
• Complete project submittals based on specifications and scope requirements on projects
• Review weekly timecards, ensuring correct cost application and project tracking
• Project Manager duties on smaller projects and of minimal complexity
• Provide feedback to team on current processes and systems and make strategic suggestions to adjust current process and system to meet changing demands of industry. Continually strive to develop new ways to improve the business.
• Assist Senior Engineers on other duties as assigned and required

Job Requirements

Work environment

• General office environment requiring long periods of sitting at computer. The environmental conditions generally include ambient inside temperature, lighting and noise level
• Due to the collaborative nature of this position and accessibility for in-house meetings, it is important that the work may need to be performed in the office and during normal business hours
• Work may be performed extensively and can be exposed to all types of weather

Physical demands

• Must be able to sit, walk, stand, reach with hands and arms, stoop or kneel, climb, or balance, talk or hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects tools or control
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds on occasion

Travel required

• Valid driver license required
• Must be able to travel to client/job sites as needed

Additional eligibility requirements

• Spatial and design skills to be visualize projects in 2d and 3d
• Experience with Bentley Suite of products including MicroStation and ProjectWise, AutoCad
• Knowledge of local government agency standards, specifically IDOT and Illinois Tollway
• Valid Driver’s License
• Required driving to job sites, may result in a long commute,
