DeBoer Chevrolet Co. in Edgerton MN has been a family-owned business since 1947. We are a full-service Chevrolet Dealership that has built our name and reputation on customer satisfaction. DeBoer Chevrolet Co. has an immediate opening for a Front Office Associate. This position would work M-F from 8:00 – 5:00. This position includes benefits such as paid time off, health insurance reimbursement, 401K and a Tenure Bonus Program.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Front Office Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support and ensure efficient office operations.

The Front Office Associate is responsible for working with customers to collect payment for services rendered at DeBoer Chevrolet. This individual will also be responsible for posting payments, maintaining the accounting for all sales and expenses as well as overseeing and completing payroll. This person will be front and center in the organization and very well known by both our staff and our customers so effective communication skills are key for this position. Previous automotive and retail experience is strongly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

· Understand and be able to process work related to repair orders, file jackets, insurance requirements and the computer systems.

· Oversee the cashier function and the timely collection of accounts receivable.

· Supervise business record-keeping in accordance with local, state and federal legal requirements

· Maintain a complete, accurate, properly formatted and timely system of accounting for all sales, production costs, overhead expenses and balance sheet items for the sales, service and collision center.

· Provide management with accurate and timely performance information including both financial and non-financial data with appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPI).

· Maintain company insurance programs including general liability, workers compensation, employee life and health programs and other employee benefits.

· Assure timely compliance with payments and returns for all payroll taxes, state and federal unemployment insurance, sale and use taxes and property taxes.

· Responsible for employee personnel files and payroll functions including timecards, tax deductions and documentation, bonuses and incentives.

· Handle banking and credit card transaction including daily deposits and electronic postings.

· Manage the accounts payable function effective to assure timely payment of all liabilities and the benefit of all applicable discounts.

· Assure timely billing to all insurance carriers and other responsible parties.

· Assists customers in a branded, friendly, proactive and efficient manner with appropriate follow up as necessary.

· Works collaboratively with other staff, managers and resources.

· Assist with marketing activities as needed.

· Assists with additional duties as assigned.

Skills:

- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently

- Proficiency in data entry and clerical duties

- Excellent customer service skills to interact with clients effectively

- Familiarity with phone systems for handling calls professionally

- Ability to handle order entry accurately
