JOB SUMMARY: The Residential Sales Manager is directly responsible for overseeing the overall generation of sales revenue in their assigned sales geography. This position will also work closely with the Residential estimators in Louisville and Cincinnati, support staff, and upper level management. The Residential Sales Manager will utilize all company and vendor resources to direct and support sales activities to promote revenue and profitability for the company. The Residential Sales Manager is also responsible for representing the company in a professional manner while adhering to the Deer Park Roofing Core Values.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Implement a repeatable sales process to Property Managers and Grow sales for DPR’s key Property Management accounts
  • Implement XactaMate and coordinate a new system that embraces storm related sales
  • Manage the sales staff to ensure proposals are delivered in a timely and professional manner
  • Coordinate the weekly sales meetings to ensure the companies’ strategies are implemented and target margins are achieved
  • Review completed jobs with sales and production staff to ensure future jobs are priced correctly
  • Manage the sales staff in a manner in which customer communication is emphasized
  • Work with the Office Manager to Review the sales leads daily to ensure that the correct estimator is assigned to each project and that appointments are in close proximity geographically
  • Ensure that the sales staff performs thorough rooftop inspections and provides solutions for the customers that will minimize our company risks in terms of warranties and safety
  • Manage the sales staff in a manner that focuses on educating the customer about our products and installation methods
  • Coordinate monthly sales/installation training seminars for your direct reports
  • Implement procedures that ensures the sales and administrative staff uses visuals in proposals
  • Implement procedures that ensures the sales and administrative staff produces detailed proposals identifying specific manufacturer names, products, sizes, and colors
  • Address customer complaints for any of your direct reports in a professional manner
  • Provide Dataforma/Foundation training to employees as needed
  • Implement procedures that emphasis follow up calls and Net Promoter Score to customers to ensure satisfaction
  • Ensure accurate and detailed descriptions of work orders are communicated to the to the production department and field employees in a timely manner after signed contracts are received
  • Provide training to the sales staff to ensure any potential safety hazards are communicated to the production department and field employees
  • Implement procedures that ensure the sales and production staff arrive to work in company attire in an effort to promote professionalism
  • Implement company visions, values, policies, procedures, operations, and strategies
  • Improve or maintain target margins
  • Work with the administrative team and the Office Manager to ensure repair leads are a priority and customers are serviced efficiently
  • Submit sales commissions to the Accounting department for all residential salesmen monthly

This position requires the employee to communicate orally, use vision to see near and far, use depth perception and hear at a conversational level .

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to constantly use hand controls. The employee will frequently be required to climb ladders and scaffolding, balance, squat and kneel, reach for materials, reach above the shoulder, and use fine finger manipulation. The employee will occasionally be required to carry roofing materials and tools, stoop and bend, and twist. Employee will infrequently be required to do repetitive motions, and use equipment that vibrates, lift 80 lbs from floor to waist, lift 80 lbs waist to above the shoulder with machine assistance, push and pull materials when tearing off and installing new roof, crawl, and use foot controls.

Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

The employee will constantly be required to work boots, and wear DPR apparel or plain clothing. The employee will occasionally be required to use fall protection, work in extreme hot or cold conditions. Employee will infrequently be required to wear safety glasses, hard hat, and/or hearing protection.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience: 3 years of sales management experience in the residential roofing industry.

Reasoning Development: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to muli-task and prioritize responsibilites. Strong problem solving skills. Follow all company Health and Safety procedures.

Mathematical Development: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers and use geometry.

Language Development: Ability to read manuals and reports, workplace rules and procedures; speak using correct English.

Licensures and Certifications: Valid drivers license is required.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required, bachelor’s degree is preferred.
