Position Description
The responsibility of the Occupancy Specialist is to assist residents and applicants of the Affordable Housing Program with the goal of achieving maximum residency.
The pay range for this position is $22-$23.50/hr.
Responsibilities:
- Interviews, collects and reviews applicant documentation to ensure affordable housing program eligibility
- Interviews and reviews resident documentation on an annual basis to ensure ongoing affordable housing program eligibility, and accuracy of rent calculations
- Maintains 100% completion and accuracy of the recertification/eligibility process monthly.
- Maintains resident files in accordance with RCM and HUD/government agency requirements.
- Assists in other community administrative duties as needed.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate’s Degree preferred.
- Certified Occupancy Specialist preferred.
- 1-2 years experience with on-site Affordable Housing required.
- 1-2 years experience with general office duties, including answering phone, typing and filing required.
- 1-2 years experience with professional interaction with clients required.
- 1-2 years experience with general math skills.
- Advanced Detail-Oriented, Time Management and Accountability skills required.
