SUMMARY
The Recruiter / HR Generalist will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. In addition, this role provides general administrative support to the human resources department. The primary duties of this position consist of recruiting and onboarding, HRIS system entries, creating and maintaining employee files, general human resources administration, and projects as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESÂ include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Recruitment:
- Assist with the full recruiting lifecycle, including sourcing candidates, initial interviews, scheduling and travel arrangements, and ongoing candidate communication
- Process all new hire paperwork (i.e. E-verify processing; I-9 record keeping; processing background checks; filing all documents/personnel files)
- Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
- Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria. Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Assists with job posting and advertisement processes.
- Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
- Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
HR Generalist:
- Assist with HRIS documentation/updates
- Ensure HR data is accurate and perform regular audits to identify and correct any data discrepancies
- Assist with maintaining and updating HR-related intranet pages
- Other tasks and projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree from an accredited college or university in human resources preferred
- 2 years of human resources administrative / recruitment experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), interpersonal skills, ability to maintain confidentiality and analytical/problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage projects and daily functions with discretion and minimal supervision
- This position requires strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
