ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Direct Care of Clients:
- review admission notes and applications, identify at risk clients
- meet with new clients for initial assessment within first few days at Mn Adult & Teen Challenge
- meet individually with clients having health concerns/assess/ refer as needed/ treat
- manage medication issues identified during assessment or referred from staff or counselors
- consult with Program Managers, Program Directors & staff regarding client physical/mental health issues
- document interactions with clients on data base
- respond to staff requests to see clients for medication and other health concerns
- responsible for destruction of medications
- during screening, work w/admissions to perform nursing/mental health assessment and refer as appropriate
- Assist with medication training for staff
- Assist with health education for clients and staff as appropriate e.g. infection control, first aid
- assist in providing Mantoux's to staff and clients
Minimum Qualifications
- RN
- Must be free of chemical use problems for at least the two years immediately preceding hire.
- Have and maintain current nursing licensure with the state of Minnesota.
- Prefer 5 years of increasingly responsible experience which demonstrates proficiency in the skills and knowledge required to perform the job.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record that will be accepted by this organization’s vehicle insurance carrier.
- Ability to successfully complete background check process.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.

- Exceptional ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines and frequent interruptions.
