PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Billing Specialist will work with the Billing Manager and other members on the team, being primarily responsible for processing client invoices in volume, which will entail working closely with both internal and external clients.
The ideal candidate is proactive, with strong attention to detail, accuracy and completeness and wants to be part of a growing, collaborative team, and is motivated by a positive environment.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish billing parameters upon receipt of a new or updated client contract.
- Create client invoices accurately and timely, that correspond to the terms of the contract.
- Consistently review and confirm invoice details across requisite systems.
- Apply credit memos as needed, along with ample documentation.
- Respond timely to client inquiries, internal and external.
- Track & Report A / R Aging to internal and external clients.
- Assist Collection Specialists, as needed, on aged client invoices.
- Research Discrepancies and provide audit support & schedules, as needed.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate degree or higher preferred
- Billing experience and / or industry experience preferred
- ERP system experience preferred, Sage Intacct desired

- Be online and available to work during designated business hours in local time zone
- Accustomed to using Microsoft Teams (or similar virtual-meeting applications) to meet with colleagues regularly on video and use the chat feature for quick communications.
We utilize many Microsoft Teams features (such as Channels and file storage) for announcements, relevant conversations, and file sharing.
Familiarity with Microsoft Teams is a plus
Accustomed with file-storage and file-sharing tools such as Microsoft SharePoint
