A Day in the Life and the Impact You’ll Make:
The Laboratory Intern provides lab production support and performs numerous duties to support the work of the Process Safety Laboratory (PSL).
What You’ll Do:
- Perform the general responsibilities of a laboratory intern
- Prepare samples for testing in the PSL
- Archive PSL Documentation
- Support PSL activities of production support team members
What You’ll Bring:
- Ability to handle various tasks and see them to completion
- Ability to identify problems and research potential solutions
- Professional in verbal and written communications
- Ability to develop collaborative, working partnerships internally and externally
- Comfortable with conducting work across various teams in a variety of formats - over the phone, conference calls, and multi-media platforms including video conference calls, etc
- Comfortable with computer aptitude and skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications: PowerPoint, Excel, Word
- High school required; some college preferred

Due to the nature of working in a laboratory setting, all candidates must be able to work within the various lab environments and conditions. - Ability to be on one’s feet - this includes:
- remaining in a stationary position (standing for prolonged periods)
- walking long distances (from parking to facility, within and around the facility - up to 3 miles/day)

- Ability to perform repetitive motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Ability to lift, adjust and/or move tools, supplies, or materials up to 50lbs in all directions to move samples of equipment
- Ability to occasionally move and conduct work with full range of motion in different body positions to accomplish tasks in various locations including tight and confined spaces
- Ability to possibly remain in a seated, stationary position for prolonged periods
- Ability to occasionally work safely at varying heights
- Ability to work in varying environments – this includes:
- indoors or outdoors
- noisy locations
- Ability to work in a general office environment
- Ability to handle extended periods of computer-based work, including telephone
- Moving of samples, equipment, client files and office supplies
What You’ll Receive for the Value You Bring:
Compensation:
The base pay for this position is $18 per hour to $20 per hour. Actual pay is based on several factors including market location and position-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
