This role is within Del Monte's Supply Chain function. A successful incumbent is expected to (i)provide overall leadership of Del Monte's distribution operations and sites including 3PLs, (ii)ensure compliance Policies and Procedures which include Good Manufacturing Practices, Quality, Food Safety Systems, FSMA, and current issue of the BRC Standards throughout the distribution network to ensure the safety of all employees, customers and3rdparty logistics providers,and (iii)prepare, analyze, manage, and recommend proven processes to reduce time in transit, improve cost per delivery, increase percent of utilization, and ultimately improve customer satisfaction in a continuous improvement environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversight and direction of Del Monte and 3rd party warehouse and labeling operations.
- Provide leadership, direction and development of a team of DC managers at multiple locations.
- Develop short and long-term strategies for distribution centers, track performance against these strategies to scale up our capacity, increasing our efficiency and developing our team's capabilities.
- Develop and implement safety standards, policies, and practices are up to date and in compliance throughout the distribution network to ensure the safety of all employees, customers, and 3rd party logistics providers.
- Responsible for the development and execution of facility operations planning to include productivity and service levels, staffing requirements, seasonal operation needs, distribution center capacity, etc.
- Be accountable for achieving KPIs across safety, service, inventory accuracy, speed, and efficiency/cost while ensuring a positive work environment.
- Facilitate ideas and processes to enhance the customer experience, reduce total cost, and improve speed to customer.
- Benchmark, understand, and implement supply chain processes specific to distribution; best practices and systems to achieve customer service and to minimize asset/distribution related costs.
- Develop and execute annual operating budget, including capital requests.
- Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
- Protect Del Monte's reputation by keeping information confidential.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.
- Execution of WMS selection and implementation including process design and collaboration with Information Technology function.
- Project Management responsibility for Supply Chain Transformation projects related to DC operations.
- Ensure packaging and shipping departments work in conjunction to meet labeling and distribution goals.
- Ensure procedures are followed to maintain accurate Materials, Supplies and Finished Goods physical inventory.
- Lead and implement continuous improvement projects using people, space, and systems to improve throughput, reduce cost and increase morale.
- Ensure sanitation GMP's and environmental guidelines and programs are followed in sites to maintain operations and corporate compliance.
- Ensure product safety through development, review, and enforcement of company policy.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, federal and corporate food safety regulatory standards.
- Review and enforce company quality standards provided by facility, regional and corporate quality authorities.
- All other related duties as necessary.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- 10 years of continuous career progression in the Supply Chain management; 7 years experience in a management role leading high performance teams within a distribution and/or manufacturing operation.
- Experience in computerized warehouse management and transportation management systems.
- Understanding of financial/accounting principles and operational budgeting.
- Proven experience in developing and managing annual operating plans (P&L).
- Proven ability to do financial analysis and review and analyze existing cost data.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing engineered labor standards.
- Ability to empower the workforce and build strong teams through hiring, developing, evaluating, training, coaching, and succession planning.
- Proven ability to define performance measures directly related to business and hold people accountable for such.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build direct relationships with hourly associates while managing multiple union contracts.
- Excellent customer service focus and results oriented.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer skills, including SAP; proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook
