What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Nursing position at Delaware Surgical Arts?
· MUST have operating room experience
· Leads all aspects of daily operational activity
· Directly supervises nursing and technical personnel: Assesses proficiency of staff, oversees daily staffing and scheduling needs of the Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC)
· Identifies and develops strategies to improve the overall knowledge base and integrity of staff
· Assists in developing and implementing clinical policies and procedures
· Functions as a role model, demonstrating quality expertise and professional behaviors
· Collaborates with physicians and administrators across departments and physician’s practices.
· Communicates effectively and has strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Delegates unit responsibilities as appropriate
· Reports to the CEO and Medical Director
```Requirements```
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Delaware.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures, including physiology and disease processes.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for assisted living facilities.
- Proficient in documentation review and analysis.
- Ability to effectively manage resources and prioritize tasks.
