What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal EMT position at DelGrosso's Amusement Park?
Education & Qualifications: Current Pennsylvania EMT and CPR certification are required. A high school Diploma or GED is preferred. Must be at least 16 years of age, have a valid PA Driver’s License and be able to work in various weather conditions. Must be able to lift and carry a minimum or 25 lbs. and a maximum of 200 lbs. on occasion. Must know and abide by Pennsylvania State Department of Health/EMS Division, BLS protocols. Must communicate clearly; maintain and project a positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times when interacting with co-workers and guests. Must have basic math skills for sales and inventory functions and accurately operate a Point of Sale (POS) register. Must maintain a well-groomed appearance at all times. Must be able to work with others or independently. Must accurately document incidents/injuries.
Essential Functions:
- Administer prescribed first aid treatment at the site of an emergency for injured individuals.
- Abide by the Pennsylvania State Basic Life Support (BLS) Protocols.
- Abide by the operation policies and procedures of the department.
- Adhere to Federal and State Laws and company policies.
- Provide excellent guest service and positive guest relations with internal and external guests.
- Assist guest with the mobility program rentals.
- Maintain the facilities and equipment in the First Aid Department. This includes but is not limited to the operation and inspection of department equipment, and cleanliness.
- Abide by the overages and shortages policy within the department.
- Adhere to and promote safety policies and programs within the company. Report any safety issues to the Department Director or VP if the director is not available.
- Safely operate golf carts as required.
- Address and handle customer issues and complaints when necessary.
- Must work in various weather and environmental conditions including but not limited to direct or indirect sunlight, heat, humidity, rain, hail and cold.
Other Responsibilities:
- Maintain and protect employee, customer, and consumer confidentiality.
- Report to and from work at assigned time.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Must be honest and reliable.
- Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Provide help and support to co-workers on an ongoing basis.
