At Deloitte Consulting LLP, our Application Modernization Team (AMM) helps to create new life for legacy information technology teams. This team specializes in converting legacy information technology systems to modern languages. Join this team as a Specialist Leader where you will immerse yourself in one of the hottest areas of the IT marketplace with a primary focus in the Life Sciences Healthcare industry vertical which includes organizations responsible for the delivery, funding, and payment management of healthcare and medical-related services. Clients include hospitals, academic medical centers, health systems, home health agencies, long-term care, outpatient facilities, ambulatory surgery centers, practitioners and physician groups as well as health plans, other health insurance companies, pharmacy benefit managers and retail health care clients.

Work You’ll Do

As a Specialist Leader you will be responsible for providing support for all activities related to the support and services for a portfolio of clients in the Life Sciences Healthcare vertical. This entails service excellence, project on-boarding, day-to-day operations, incident and change management, meeting contractual SLAs, financial oversight and continuous operational improvement. This individual will also be responsible for managing daily operational activities of resources related to the client portfolio and ensuring operational coverage to meet project requirements.

The Team

AMM Delivery Specialist Leaders are responsible for the overall day-to-day operational management of their named accounts. You will ensure that delivery is in line with the contractual obligations to the client, adhering to SLAs, working in concert with various service delivery teams and leadership to ensure that incidents, issues, and change requests are managed and escalated to ensure high quality delivery. You will efficiently manage the delivery and support of projects, leveraging project management tools, managing and scheduling on-call, patching, and maintenance schedules, ensuring proper coverage for these deliverables. You will assist with initial needs assessments, scope definition, resource planning, delivery targets and milestones and project closure. You will help manage security and risk and will work with pod team members to develop repeatable solutions that will enable the delivery pod to manage and deploy solutions in cost effective manner.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related IT discipline; or equivalent experience;
Experience working with globally distributed technology teams which should include 8 years of relevant consulting and/or industry experience managing and delivering large scale systems;
Demonstrated experience working in an Agile environment;
At least eight years’ experience in software engineering working with a variety of legacy and modern languages;
At least eight years’ experience working with Private/Public Cloud (AWS, GCP, OCI and/or Azure);
A demonstrated capacity to manage a large globally dispersed team, managing project risks and stakeholders to achieve a desired outcome;
ITIL Foundation certification;
At least eight years of experience working in the life sciences healthcare industry vertical;
Experience working in a multi-vendor environment and with third parties;
Ability to travel up to 50%, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve;
Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred

Industry recognized technology certifications – CSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe, AWS/GCP/Azure/VMware etc.
Excellent written and communication skills;
Ability to deliver technical demonstrations;
On Prem Data Center to Cloud migration or modernization experience;
Demonstrated capacity to manage project financials;
Master's degree

Wages and Salary

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $204,400 to $339,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, the individual, and organizational performance.
