What are the responsibilities and job description for the MRI Supervisor Full Time Days position at Delray Medical Center?
Summary
MRI Supervisor accepts supervisory responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the MRI department. Assists the Imaging Director and Operations Manager in the development, interpretation, and implementation of departmental policies. Serves as a role model to staff and promotes an image of leadership. MRI Supervisor provides technical assistance and direction and supervision to MRI technologists in a positive and professional manner. MRI Supervisor produces MRI scans of designated anatomical areas as ordered/directed, according to established practices and procedures. Orders supplies, contacts equipment engineer regarding PM’s and malfunctions. Performs staff evaluations. Assists as needed with interdepartmental process improvement plans and ensures data collection for monthly and quarterly reports is completed. MRI Supervisor actively participates in acquiring and maintaining accreditation for MRI imaging services.
Education
Required: Graduate of accredited program in radiologic technology
Preferred: Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
Experience
- Two years MRI experience and one year supervisory experience required.
- One year CT experience preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- ARRT registered, Certified in MRI, Florida license, American Heart Association
- BLS certification
