What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machinist position at Delta Air Lines, Inc.?
The Machinist will be part of a team operating shop equipment to manufacture, repair and or restore airframe and engine parts to their original serviceable condition.
- Required to design and construct tooling when necessary.
- Practices safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
- Must be willing to work alternate shifts, off days and weekends as required.
- Particular functions, tasks, and requirements may vary depending upon the location and operational requirements.
- Must be able to work efficiently and be self-motivated with little or no supervision.
- Must be performing satisfactorily in current position.
The minimum starting hourly rate for this position is $35.73 with a potential maximum hourly rate of $36.32. The ability to reach the maximum hourly rate is dependent upon several other offered premiums (Examples would include but not limited to - Airframe and Powerplant license, Shift differential, Station location differential, Line Maintenance differential, Skill differential).
