POSITION SUMMARY :
The Student Assistant President's Office provides confidential, clerical support to the Administrative Assistant President's Office and to the Administrative Services Department as needed.
This position will provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, faculty, and the community we serve via phone, email and in-person interactions.
We will work with your class schedule to create a work schedule.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING :
CUSTOMER SERVICE :
- Provide a welcoming atmosphere and greet all guests to the President's Office.
- Assist guests either in-person, by phone, mail, or e-mail that are inquiring about our College.
CLERICAL SUPPORT :
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- File documents both manually and electronically.
- Copy documents as needed.
- Receive and sort incoming / outgoing mail.
- Provide information to students, staff, faculty, and community members (via phone and in-person).
- Create letters and flyers as needed.
- Database entry for President's Office.
- Assist with special projects for the President's Office and Institutional Research.
- Monitor office supply stock / keep printer stocked with paper.
- Provide other clerical support as necessary, including scheduling group meetings, maintaining calendars, doing research, and creating reports.
- Strong attention to detail and working accurately.
- Experience using Microsoft Word and Outlook and / or Google Docs or Gmail.
- Able to use internet to research information as requested.
- Preferred : Experience using Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet software.
- Must be enrolled at Delta College and registered for a minimum of six (6) credit hours.
- Must demonstrate experience, skills, and commitment to fostering an environment of belonging, diversity, equity, and inclusion in students, faculty and staff.
