Position Summary
Delta Community Supports, Inc. is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Residential Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The Residential Coordinator will promote the community support of people with developmental and intellectual disabilities by implementing company policies and providing broad management oversight to daily operations.

Maximize the development and capacity of staff to advance the mission and values of Delta.
Hire, train, supervise, develop and evaluate direct support staff; assess staff performance and provide support to obtain desired performance outcomes.
Lead monthly meetings with team members to discuss:
o Policy/procedure changes
o Scheduling changes/needs
o Supporting the individuals in the home
o Training needs
o General home needs
Lead the interdisciplinary process in:
o Assessing the desires, strengths, and needs of the individuals receiving residential supports
o Developing outcomes
o Evaluating progress towards independence in outcomes
Pursue community integration for each individual.
Monitor and maintain medical and financial benefits (Social Security Supplemental Security Income, Medical Assistance, etc.).
Record the use of each individual’s personal finances as outlined in Delta’s policy.
Monitor home on a regular basis to include:
o adequate quantity and quality of food to provide nutritious meals
o physical site is in compliance with health, safety and cleanliness standards
o proper economical use of utilities (phone, gas, electric and cable)
Monitor that fire safety standards are met (fire drills properly completed, smoke detectors are operational).
Monitor and schedule a sufficient number of trained staff at the home in keeping with state and Delta standards.
Ensure health care needs of individuals are met.
Train staff who provide direct service in the implementation of outcomes and the operations of Residential Supports.
Monitor completion of all staff training within required periods.
Monitor the administration of medications.
Meet regularly with individual’s workshop, day program or employer.
Attend meetings, and hearings; visit the homes, schools, workplaces and recreational sites of individuals supported by the company.
Cooperate with the Department of Human Services staff in any investigation or inspection.
Cooperate with internal investigations or inspections.
Complete all paperwork accurately including, but not limited to, Critical Logs, ISP data, etc.
Comply with all of Delta’s policies as well as regulatory and licensing standards.
Develop; implement and role model program plans areas such as positive behavioral supports, community living, communications, etc.
Coordinate individual’s medical appointments, advocate for the individual, complete paperwork regarding each appointment communicate medical status to management and families.
Ensure the proper and timely completion and maintenance of records.
Promote and demonstrate ethical and professional conduct at all times ensuring employees conduct themselves in an ethical and professional manner.
Promote continuous quality improvement projects and ongoing performance measures.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Two (2) years’ work experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities
An associate’s degree or sixty (60) credit hours from an accredited university or college and four (4) years’ experience in the supervision of community based programs working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities may be substituted.
