What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Leisure & Corporate Travel Agent position at Deluxe Travel Ltd.?
The Travel Agent position responsibilities will handle both domestic and international destination. As a Travel Consultant of Deluxe Travel Ltd you are responsible for building and maintaining a good client rapport. Serious sales experience is requited, as well as, a committed work ethic and high level of integrity. We are looking for an experienced Travel Consultant who is passionate, willing and motivated to go to the extra mile to deliver great service.
The responsibilities of the Travel Consultant are as Follows:
· GDS booking: 2 years (Required)
· 2-3 Years’ experience selling leisure travel, FIT, packages and cruises
· Sell domestic and international travel packages, including cruises, land packages, air, car, hotel and activities
· Share knowledge and expertise from personal experiences and/or education study trips
· Counsel clients on all aspects of travel planning and reservation
· Develop along standings relationships with our customers and build referral and repeat business
· Make appropriate recommendation to ensure the trip experience is tailored to the customer’s expectations
· Demonstrate a commitment to the customer throughout the booking process-anticipate needs and potential problems
· Responsible for issuing all tickets, re-issuing and re-calculating fares
Knowledge and skills required for the Travel Consultant are:
· Must have proven travel industry experience in booking flights using a GDS System
· Ability to prioritize workloads and work to deadlines
· Excellent communications and team working skills
· Passion for travel
· Solid communication and interpersonal skills
· Comfort providing sales in a service environment
· Computer savvy with the ability to navigate between multiple systems- WorldSpan proficiency is a plus
· This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
· Strong geographical knowledge – travel school is a plus
