What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Business Partner position at Dematic?

Do you want to work with Leaders in HR and Finance to drive human resource related needs? Have you served as a Human Resource Generalist or partner driving efficiency, strategies, and services for a large function? This Human Resource partner role will service up to 600 employees. This will be a key role business partner role reporting to the Director, Human Resources. The Dematic Global Human Resources Team is looking for a mid-level HR Business Partner to join our winning team. This is an exciting opportunity to get real HR experience in a growing organization, helping support global functions including Human Resources and Finance. As an HR Generalist, you will provide support to leaders and key stakeholders across the organization. You will even have the opportunity to use creative problem-solving skills to drive process that is needed to fuel the strategy and growth of the business through its people! Dematic’s Human Resource Business Partner role will include, but is not limited to: - Maintains the integrity of data in the HRIS system by tracking and inputting employment changes such as new hires, transfers, job classifications, salary, terminations, etc. - Updates all excel spreadsheets trackers relative to processes, standard work, and lean management. - Drives communications relative to our OCTR, Performance Management Process, Compensation Planning, Engagement, and otherwise as needed. - Assists with basic recruiting and/or recruiting coordination based on need/volume. This includes conducting phone screens for overflow interviews, drafting job offers, completing background check processes, and completing new hire orientations as needed for work site. - Completes special projects as assigned. - Responsible for driving reporting for supported functions as needed for the HRBPs and HRMs. - Maintains confidentiality related to every aspect of the work conducted in the human resources department and Dematic. - Is flexible to changes in duties, priorities, methods and environments. - Tactical support for planning and strategy for key business groups in the areas of recruitment, talent management and organizational development. - Use metric and data to enable HR Leaders by identifying trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee engagement. - Must demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset and suggest ideas for improvement. - Plan, organize and coordinate various projects, programs and committees related to employee relations and internal communications for the certain teams. - Support HR and leadership in action planning related to employee engagement. - Champion initiatives that support the success of the organization’s growth and reinforce a collaborative, aligned, and engaged culture.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferred focus in business, human resources, sociology, or psychology.
  • 5 years of direct applicable Human Resource Generalist experience in a fast-paced, environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn policies and practices with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with diverse populations.
  • Unquestioned integrity with assertiveness, presence, and confidence.
  • Able to make quick, effective, and principles-based decisions.
  • Demonstrated customer focus, judgment, analytical skills, critical thinking and communication skills (verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal) required.
  • Strong capabilities in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience working effectively in a self-directed, proactive, results-oriented, complex, fast paced environment across all levels.
  • Lean training or background preferred (non-manufacturing).
  • Willingness to travel approximately up to 10%.
