What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Expert (2nd shift) position at DENSO?
Logistics Expert Responsibilities (During Normal Production hours)
1. Effectively operates process to meet Safety, Productivity & Quality targets, performs routine process adjustments and works to standardize process in order to overcome chronic issues.
2. Collect and compile activity data and report action items/results to leadership.
3. Work on WMS Part number setup and replenishment.
4. Initiate new product setup, phase out, and cycle counts of locations.
5. Analyze any incorrect locations and determine root cause and countermeasures.
6. Recognize potential Kaizen opportunities with a strong root cause analysis and implement appropriate countermeasures to Process Flows and/or Standard Work.
7. Prepare BOM for Repack Setups and prepare Physical Inventory Setups.
8. Operate PIV as needed.
9. Monitor equipment and programs to make necessary adjustments and analyze information to determine any additional actions are needed.
10. Work on Rack maintenance including moving product using WMS knowledge, lifting up to 33lbs repetitively.
11. Track, evaluate and make recommendations to PC for Full Pallet candidate part numbers based on an established guideline for space.
12. Evaluate, at a part number level, how much space is required to correctly support PC inventory targets and production volumes, and take pro-active measures to improve conditions with direction from leadership.
13. Assist leadership to create control & training/communication documents to train associates on process operation, TPM, process recovery, etc.
14. Work with TIE, maintenance, WMS Support Team, PC members, Logistics Associates, and Leadership as needed.
15. Utilize AS400 Production Plan Screens, Receiving and Inventory Screens, and Kanban Creation.
16. Support writing and evaluating OMS, develop Process Flows, and utilize Microsoft Office Tools as needed.
17. Develop and plan improvement projects for designated process (Quality, Cost, Productivity, etc.) as directed by leadership.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 2 years of recent warehousing experience
Experience using a Warehouse Management System
Strong computer skills
