What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Maintenance Specialist position at DENTON COUNTY FRIENDS OF THE FAMILY?
We are looking for an energetic and team-oriented Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team. The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is responsible for providing routine and emergency maintenance for all Denton County Friends of the Family facilities.
Main Position Activities:
- Schedule and complete general maintenance of all agency properties
- Respond for emergency repairs, assess needs, and repair or arrange for repair to be completed in a timely manner
- Complete purchases of supplies and parts as needed for maintenance and repair.
- Negotiate for best price and provide receipts and clear records of all purchases to supervisor
- Assist Transitional Housing Program with client move-in
- Pickup and delivery of donations from community donors for agency programs, including furniture and other heavy items
- Conduct weekly vehicle checks for agency vehicles to assess for routine maintenance needs
Qualifications:
- Minimum: High School diploma or GED
- 23 years of age or older
- Drivers license and clean driving record
- Demonstrated ability to perform routine maintenance
- Ability to communicate effectively while working across multiple sites
- Ability to lift, push, pull furniture and other items over 50 lbs.
*This is a Temp-to-Hire position.*
