Education : Undergraduate or Graduate Education : Major study - accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, nautical science, marine affairs, marine engineering, marine transportation, or other fields related to the position.
Experience : Experience in maintaining, retailing, purchasing, or procurement of automotive, rail, air, bus, or other transportation equipment or services, or in the operation of a commercial transportation facility or terminal.
This experience must have demonstrated knowledge of fleet operations; familiarity with Federal, State, and municipal regulations governing the use of transportation vehicles;
and the maintenance of inventories and cost computations.
In addition to meeting the basic requirement, you must also possess experience and / or directly related education in the amounts listed below.
Specialized Experience Requirement
For the GS-09 : Applicants must have one (1) year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service.
and / or Analyzing utilization of fleet equipment, and creating reports of studies; and / or Providing technical guidance on transportation services, equipment operations, maintenance, and repairs.
A master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.
B. or J.D., if related. The education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work with a major study in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, nautical science, marine affairs, marine engineering, marine transportation, or other fields related to the position.
An appropriate combination of specialized experience and education (only graduate education in excess of 18 semester hours may be used to qualify applicants for this grade level).
