Role : Level 2 Support Engineer

Location : New York City, NY

Job Description :

This is for one full-time onsite Level 2 Support Engineer who will act as a dedicated resource for a client in NYC, NY.
Candidates must be fully vaccinated and up to date on their Covid boosters, as well as have their own reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Our client is looking for a Level 2 Support Engineer or beyond with experience in troubleshooting Desktop, Network and software issues, including but not limited to such functions as applications support, software support, hardware support and printer-network mapping.

Dedication Technician Responsibilities:
- Act as the onsite support for all users as instructed by SOROC:
- Resolve all incidents not resolved by SOROC’s first level helpdesk which includes issues pertaining to all hardware and software: (hardware will include all desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, monitors and other Santander Bank peripherals and
technology assets):
- Assist in supporting all software approved by Santander Bank on the desktops and laptops following the support guidelines provided by Santander and SOROC:
- Perform all required installs, moves,, adds, change tasks which include software and hardware:
- Update and resolve incidents and IMAC in Santander’s ticketing tool Gesti:
- Act as onsite support for all users at Bank Office locations:
- Be the hands and eyes for SOROC’s helpdesk and 3rd level support:

Out of Scope Activities:

SOROC or Santander may request that the assigned resource to perform out of scope activities. For out of scope activities related to high priority incidents, the assigned resource shall perform the requested services without SOROC’s approval if:
- Based on the qualifications and experience of the assigned resource, the assigned resource is able to completely perform the requested service:
- The requested service is required for resolution of the incident:
-The requested service is reasonably related to the responsibilities of a dedicated technician described in his section

For scheduled out-of-scope activities, the assigned resource will notify SOROC and obtain approval from SOROC’s Client Operations Manager. The assigned resource shall maintain accurate records of out-of-scope activities which shall be provided to SOROC on SOROC’s request.

Required Skills :

The right candidate will have the following knowledge base and basic skills :

  • Experience in factory/manufacturing environment desirable
  • Experienced in Active Directory user administration, OS imaging processes, ticketing, SW installation and imaging tools, automated help desk systems, troubleshooting in the Windows desktop environment (networking, OS, Microsoft Office suite, PC hardware, printers), network and local printer installation
  • Basic understanding of SCCM client troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, Windows Security (Share and NTFS permissions).
  • Knowledge Windows OS and related configuration.
  • Knowledge of Servers, Switches, Routers, and Data Center related HW
  • Basic knowledge of Backup technologies
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented multi tower and vendor environments.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work, and the ability to adapt to new processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment while still being able to handle and safeguard confidential information
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and superior customer service skills.
  • Ability to deliver services on time, demonstrate strong customer service skills, and achieve a high degree of end user satisfaction
  • Ability to convey technical issues and material to non-technical end users and managers

Required Education :

College / Technical School

Required Years of Experience :

Microsoft Certs A -NET
2 years of experience providing IT support services required, end user support experience preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
