**Job Overview:**
Summary: The HR Generalist at Desert De Oro Foods will be responsible for a wide range of human resources duties, with a focus on employee relations, HR consultations, and various administrative tasks. This role requires a seasoned HR professional with excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. The HR Generalist will collaborate closely with management, HR, and payroll teams to provide effective and efficient support in alignment with company policies and applicable laws. Duties/Responsibilities: • Collaborates with management, HR and Payroll team, to provide effective and efficient support. • Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements. • Manages and delivers employee relations investigations, prepares findings. • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings and terminations. • Applies appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate company policies, laws, and safety. • Assists in employee engagement plans, executes approved program. • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and management, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff • Conduct needs assessments and reviews of medical information for ADA accommodations. • Engage with management, coordinating with Workers' Comp, FMLA, and State Leave processes. • Conduct needs assessments and reviews of medical information for ADA accommodations. • Engage with management, coordinating with Workers' Comp, FMLA, and State Leave processes. Education and Experience: Required: ● Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Business Management or related field required. ● Two years of Human Resources generalist experience Preferred: ● HR Certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP or related certification. ● Worked in a large multi-state organization. WORKING CONDITIONS Physical Environment: Office, Restaurants Most of the work performed will be conducted in an office environment. Occasional work performed in a restaurant setting. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time, and lift or move up to 15 lbs. TRAVEL: May be able to travel to various locations up to 10% per year.
