Position: Tower Climber Helper
Location: Varies
Salary: $17.50 -$19.00/hr
Job Summary: The Tower Climber Helper will assists the Tech or Experienced Helper in installing or repairing wireless materials and equipment and take direction from wireless project Experienced Helper, Tech, Crew Leader, or Foreman.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Learn to measure, cut, and fabricate materials like pipe, steel, and hardlines to specified lengths.
• Develop skills to install basic supports, hangers, grounds, and fiber for wireless installations.
• Assist in fabricating and installing support systems for Coax/Hybrid lines.
• Help install communication lines, antennas, and supports on towers and ground components.
• Follow basic instructions and understand materials and drawing symbols.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Review and prepare all project materials.
• Set up and clean up work sites daily, ensuring security of tools and materials.
• Take responsibility for proper storage of tools and materials.
• Communicate any questions or needs with the Tech, Crew Lead, or Foreman.
• Ensure batteries are charged for the weekend if applicable.
• Notify the appropriate person of any tools or materials needed for the following week.
• Attend job site briefings, safety meetings, and consultations.
• Regularly review and reflect on assigned duties.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Follow instructions and seek clarifications when needed.
• Use hand tools safely and demonstrate ladder safety, including inspection and carrying.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be willing and able to climb towers to heights of 500’
• Must be able to handle physical demands of installation of equipment, which may include lifting up to 50 pounds at times.
• Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
