Job Title: Assembler/Packing & Shipping - Day Shift; 7:30am-5:00pm; M-F

Department: Assembly

Reports To: Assembly Supervisor

FLSA Class: Non-Exempt

Pay Type: Hourly

Summary

Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assembles components and ensures proper quality standards are met.
• Pack parts for shipping and inventory along with wrapping and strapping pallets for shipment.
• Under minimal supervision is able to perform assembly operations per detailed work instructions.
• Prepares for work by learning and studying assembly instructions, gathering parts, participating in subassemblies, and using tools, and materials as directed.
• Keep inventory and stock finished goods to be assembled in WIP (work in process) area. Maintains needed supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; and informing Department Lead.
• Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner and maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with all company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. Performs daily and regular cleaning of assembly area.
• Utilizes and abides by Standard Operating Policies and Procedures, ISO requirements, and other certification and safety procedures per Designwerkes, Inc. Handbook.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

To perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty to expected standards. MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION

Education and Experience

High school diploma, GED; No experience required but preferred.

Language Skills

Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the

English language.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

Physical Demands

Ability to move or transfer product of up to 50lbs when required. Employees are required to obtain help when lifting greater than 50 pounds or when lifting is uncomfortable. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands or fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and listen with ears. The employee may be required to stoop, kneel, crouch or climb as part of their job.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
