Position Summary:
The Materials Handler performs a variety of duties to deliver fixtures, job packets and materials to appropriate areas to minimize production delays. The Materials Handler serves as shipping/receiving back-up and inventory crib back-up as workloads require. This position reports to the Supervisor.
Essential Job Functions:
- Delivers material to work areas, builds boxes, as needed, and assists in storing incoming material as needed.
- Coordinates and monitors the collection and disposition of scrap metals.
- Operates power industrial trucks as required to move parts, fixtures and materials.
- Responsible for accurately performing inventory transactions.
- Self-sufficient in routine assigned tasks and capable of following instructions.
- Basic math and problem solving abilities.
- Basic print/drawing reading.
- Ensures that all responsibilities and functions performed are in accordance with company policy and procedures and meet required quality standards.
- Reports all non-conformances to appropriate levels.
- Conducts daily checks of equipment operated (i.e. hi-lo, lift truck, etc.)
- Must be able to obtain power industrial truck certification.
- Advises supervisor of conduct that may violate rules, policies, and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment
- 1 year experience with power industrial trucks
- Experience with computerized inventory control systems, cycle counting, MS Word and Excel
- Oracle experience preferred
Education and Certification Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent education or experience
Physical Requirements: (To be met with or without accommodations)

- Stand 10 hours a day
- Good manual dexterity
- Eye hand coordination and attention to detail
- Ability to bend, twist and turn
