Job Posting for Promotions & Special Events Manager at Detroit Tigers
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Work directly with the Director of Promotions and Special events team to plan, organize, and execute signature events, theme nights and special projects throughout the season.
Assist with the planning and execution of TigerFest, including communication with vendors regarding design, build and infrastructure of event. Work closely with Park Operations and creative vendor to build autograph stations and ensures autograph language and guidelines align with legal expectations.
Organize and execute a minimum of seven theme nights and two signature events, including event concept development, sponsor integration, communication of event details internally and externally, and day of event execution.
Work with Director of Promotions and Special Events to manage season long budgets, including credit card detailing and monitoring, and overall annual budgeting process.
Oversees the Special Events Coordinator in several functions including day-to-day oversight of master promotions schedule and asset inventory, scheduling and organization of homestand meetings and all internal communications pertaining to each homestand.
Manages all aspects of the Detroit Tigers Kids Club including development of annual membership elements, database management, special event coordination, sponsor integration, budgeting, oversight of Kids Club kiosk and member in-park activities, etc.
Provides support to the Director of Promotions and Special Events on the development and execution of Gen Z Ambassador Program.
Assists Director of Promotions and Special Events with the coordination, budgeting, timelines and distribution of all promotional gate giveaways. Communicates with sponsorship department for each item to align with partner budgets, creative and approval timelines.
Manages all aspects of club game day promotions team (Energy Squad) including auditions, orientation, uniform ordering and maintenance, sponsor integration, team scheduling, staffing and day of game activities.
Creates, executes, and manages revenue generating program for the Energy Squad to include external, non-game day appearances.
Manages storage cage and inventory of all assets including promotional items, marketing collateral, banners, event staging materials, etc.
Assist with the execution of promotional activities for all 81 home games, including pregame ceremonies, first pitches, national anthem performances and all in game promotions and sponsor related activations.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
