Job Summary:
Welder is responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.
Job Responsibilities:
- Mig and/or Tig welding of steel and carbon
- Load and operate Robot (as needed)
- Grinding using manual and power tools
- Willingness to assist in other departments as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications (Required)
- At least 18 years of age (required at all locations)
- High School diploma or GED (required at all locations)
- Six months of GMAW job and/or training
- Proficient in weld techniques and able to read blueprints
- Candidate must pass unlimited thickness test prior to employment offer. Visual acuity and blueprint reading test must be completed/pass within 30 days of date of hire
Job Qualifications (Preferred):
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Include job specific experience necessary
Physical Requirements of the Job:
- Frequent walking, standing, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting and lifting for 8-12 hours per day
- Able to work in non-climate-controlled and noisy environment
- Frequent overhead reaching and reaching with both hands
- Frequent pushing, pulling, lifting or maneuvering loads up to 50 lbs
- Able to wear and tolerate Personal Protective Equipment (apparel and devices)
- Vision acuity, corrected or uncorrected, capable of reading documents, blueprints, gauges, equipment settings, calibration instruments, parts labels and written materials
- Reliable to come to work every day and be on-time
- Flexible work availability, including Overtime during the week and weekends
1st shift, Mon-Fri, 5am-1pm
2nd shift, Mon-Fri, 1pm-9pm
3rd shift, Sun-Thur, 9pm-5am or 11pm-7am
(may train on 1st shift)
Overtime as needed during week and weekends.
