Position Summary
The Account Manager will report directly to the Regional Manager. The incumbent will manage sales and oversees all sales activities within the assigned region of eastern Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in the development and implementation of strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals. Participates in sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
- Reviews market analyses to identify new business opportunities.
- Delivers sales presentations to key customers in coordination with sales engineers.
- Meets with key customers, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
- Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
- Promotes new products.
- Continually develops strong customer relationships. Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
- Continually identifies and pursues new business opportunities.
- Submits a monthly commentary regarding the region to the Regional Manager. Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
- Attends and actively participates in monthly Cadence Calls and any other program or training assigned.
- Works trade shows, open house events, and/or other shows requested by customers as needed.
- Performs other tasks or duties as assigned.
Requirements
Requires Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or a comparable discipline and at least 3 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
