Position Summary:
The Finance Manager position drives improved financial results throughout the organization by partnering with individuals in Sales, Operations, R&D and Quality. This role will drive action utilizing analytical insights to support the organization in achieving its operational and financial goals. The role oversees monthly and quarterly financial reporting, including Management, Banking, and Board of Director requirements, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial data.
TARGETED ANNUALIZED SALARY - $120,000 - $140,000 (depending on experience)
Major Responsibilities - reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions:
- Partners with Controller on the monthly financial close, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial results on a monthly basis according to GAAP and Dexter policy, by the 3rd workday of each month.
- Manages monthly financial reporting and analysis, fostering improved financial performance for the organization.
- Conducts price analysis and provides recommendations to Sales and Finance based on margin and value analysis.
- Partners with Operations to deliver and track productivity initiatives.
- Evaluates Capital Allocation Requests and ensures Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) metrics are achieved.
- Develops quarterly forecast, highlighting material risks and opportunities.
- Assist in preparation of the Annual Budget.
- Financial liaison as participant in lean events and support in cost saving and margin enhancement activities.
- Improve controls and business processes including defining, documenting and implementing new policies as identified.
- Other duties or special projects as assigned.
Interactions
- Significant day-to-day contact with Finance & Accounting team colleagues and other functions to share and disseminate accounting and financial information effectively, to satisfy all internal and external financial reporting requirements.
- Expected to interact extensively with such colleagues for brainstorming, verification and validation of concepts and issues.
- Regular contact with external third party financial resources (auditors, banks, payroll and benefit services, etc.).
- Regular contact with executive leaders and department managers to facilitate projects, to assist with the financial process, and to act as a subject matter expert as required.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong systems/ERP experience/exposure; experience with Epicor preferred.
- Proficient with Excel, report writing and/or data mining software and strong general computing skills such as MS Office.
- Goal and deadline driven; excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize daily work and projects and achieve results.
- Strong verbal, listening and written communication skills – including ability to present financial information to all levels of the organization.
- Strong sense of ethics and a talent for efficient and creative problem-solving.
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
