What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inside Sales Representative position at DGI Supply?
SUMMARY:
The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for effectively and tactically managing important business activity on a daily basis. The Inside Sales Representative will reach business targets through excellent telephone sales and communication skills. This individual will also develop their phone-based revenue generation through the creation of sales leads, initiation of prospect calls and establishment of ongoing rapport with existing and potential customers. Develop a strong understanding of our customers, products, processes and systems. The role carries the opportunity to earn more accounts and/or move into an account manager or sales leadership position.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Make outbound calls to customers via telephone and email for qualification, cross-selling, up-selling, and brand expansion purposes
- Process requests for quotations, order entry and product questions from customers.
- Order entry and timely feedback to customer inquiries.
- Monitor and review performance to operational metrics, order processing and service level reporting.
- Researching and resolving complaints, product inquiries or ordering to ensure customer retention and satisfaction.
- Research / source equal or alternative products as requested by the customer.
- Handle a fast pace, complex and demanding projects to meet customer deadlines.
- Establish decision makers for all manufacturing purchases
- Penetrate all targeted accounts and grow sales within client base
- Emphasize product/service features and benefits, effectively earning new quoting opportunities
- Create and deliver qualified opportunities to Account Managers where appropriate
- Work with Account Managers on shared accounts including the sharing of information and lead follow ups
- Investigate and troubleshoot customer service issues
- Establish decision makers and budget for capital purchases
- Other duties as assigned
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 3 years relevant industry experience in inside sales or customer service
- Exceptional listener with excellent time management
- Strong problem-solving and objection resolution skills, work ethic and a high level of integrity are also essential
- Ability to meet and exceed sales quotas
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Self-motivated and competitive with high energy and enthusiasm; teamwork focused
- Proven ability to use operating systems and other third-party software to service customer needs effectively.
- Moderate to advanced MS Office skills. Excel experience is preferred.
