What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Product Designer position at Dialpad?
Our People. Our Culture
At Dialpad, we believe that when the right people come together, anything is possible. We’ve created an incredible, passionate, and welcoming culture that truly makes Dialpad an amazing place to work. We also place equity, balance, and belonging at the heart of everything we do.
At Dialpad, work isn’t a place you go, it's a thing you do. And we don’t just build products for anywhere workers—we are anywhere workers. With offices in the Bay Area, Austin, Vancouver, Waterloo, Tokyo, London, Sydney, and Bangalore to support our hybrid workers, and remote workers around the world, we are dedicated to building a diverse workforce, where each individual is welcomed and valued for their different perspectives and contributions.
Join The Movement
After founding Google Voice and radically transforming consumer communications, our founders set out to completely transform the way the world works together. With over $2B in valuation and funding from Google Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, OMERS Growth Equity, ICONIQ Capital, Felicis Ventures, Work-Bench, Scale Ventures, and other top VCs, Dialpad attracts top talent from leading tech companies, and every member of our team plays an essential role in creating dynamic products that enable workers to collaborate and be productive from anywhere.
Design @ Dialpad
Our company mission is to make communications easy, frictionless, unified, and intelligent and our Product Design team delivers on that mission, working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales and Service to understand customer needs aligned with the whitespace in the market. We leverage data and research, Design Thinking, iterative testing and Lean UX to frame customer problems and define solutions that no other competitor is offering in the CCaaS and UCaaS spaces. Not only do we stand out because of our proprietary artificial intelligence engine, but we also happen to have a user experience that is recognized time and again by our customers as they move over from competitive offerings. Now is a fantastic time to be part of our team, as we enter the next phase of building an even more robust offering for our largest clients in need of a product that supports their every need in call centers, sales functions, and communications across their organization.
Design has been a core value in our company’s DNA from the beginning, and as we’ve grown we continue to focus on becoming the best design-centric communication platform today. This means you don’t need to justify the importance of Design. As a team member, you’ll be able to be yourself, feel valued, supported, learn, and grow continuously.
About this role
We are looking for a Lead Product Designer to help us build a cutting-edge integration, app marketplace, and developer platform experience. We already have many existing integrations and app partners, but we’re looking to expand and make it easy for anyone to use voice, video, or messaging services. Today, we have amazing and unique capabilities, but we need you to help us take it to the next level. You’ll partner with designers across our product suites to bring the Dialpad difference to our customers where they’re at.
As a Lead Product Designer, you will:
Foster a culture of innovation
Be a thought leader within the organization, facilitating workshops, driving alignment between many teams, and pushing the boundaries of how our customers can interact and utilize Dialpad.
Shape Dialpad through the eyes of our customers
Conduct user research and competitive benchmarking, leveraging findings to define mental models which determine where we can strengthen our offering to solve real customer pain.
Create truly end-to-end experiences
Working with our customer success, sales, marketing, and product teams, you will craft end-to-end experiences inside and outside Dialpad that form differentiated new product offerings and features. You will design workflows and detailed interactions to realize them, partnering with various teams to bring it fruition.
Design for delight and quality
