The journeyman electrician will be responsible for supporting the master electrician as well as a few other internal employees through their daily installs/repairs. KCI has developed an electrical practice to couple with their communications practice. They have continued to dominate in the communications market, and almost all of their electrical work that must be done within the telecomm installs has been outsourced until the past few years. The electrical team has partnered heavy with Wireless Carriers for BESS (Battery Energy Safety Storage) and Generator installs at cell sites. They are also gaining a ton of work within the EV space with rising initiatives and Autonomous Vehicles on the horizon. Some of the main clients that this electrician will be supporting are on the wireless side of the house not limited to TMOBILE, Verizon, AWS, and most recently a ton of EV (Electrical Vehicle) support at various dealerships and commercial properties. Apprentice school programs are about 4 years (Residential, Commercial, Motor Control, and Code). 600 volts or less, 120-208 (3 Phase Transformers), 120-240 (1 phase transformer). Open to candidates that are at the tail end of the apprentice program. EV work is a little bigger, 1600 Amp, 2500 AMP, 208. Large switch gear. Putting in for Charging Stations. They will be working to support Generator deployments for the wireless group, Service work, upgrades, Cabinet Installs, basic electrical piping and wiring, etc. Must have a MD Journeyman license or in process of getting one.
