Starting out, you will be brought on to assist with multiple daily and longer-term tasks. Day to day will be installing and maintaining DSL/Fiber internet connectivity for residential and small business customers in the Dekalb, Sycamore, Rochelle, Genoa, Malta, and neighboring areas. As you grow in experience, you will be moved into a full technician role as you demonstrate your training on our equipment/network. You will provide on-site end-user support, telecom installation, programming, maintenance, and repairs to our DSL and fiber infrastructure and phone clients. Longer-term tasks will be project/skill oriented, relating primarily to fiber buildout in the greater Illinois area.

The more interested you are in learning, the greater the opportunities there will be for your role to expand. You will have the chance to gain experience with a wide assortment of networking technologies, from home networking all the way to carrier services. You will be working in a team of people who have experience in teaching and love to do so.
