Testing Manager (Big Data)

Position Overview:

As a Data Testing, you will be responsible for managing and handling data testing strategies and solutions for a team of 80 members. This role involves overseeing multiple applications and releases for end-to-end data testing of ETL, Data Warehousing (DW), Big Data, and Cloud migration projects. You will actively engage with customers and stakeholders to drive project releases, facilitate technical discussions, and provide regular reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Application Release Management: Oversee the management and handling of application releases in data program areas, continuously running 80 to 100 applications per quarter.
• Data Testing Strategies: Develop and execute robust data testing strategies and solutions tailored to specific project needs.
• Customer and Stakeholder Engagement: Conduct customer and stakeholder meetings, driving technical discussions and ensuring effective coordination.
• Effort Estimations and Staffing Plans: Provide effort estimations, staffing plans, and resource requirements with different project teams.
• RFP and Proposal Management: Drive and manage RFPs and proactive proposals to identify data testing opportunities.
• Compliance Requirements: Gather data testing compliance requirements and translate them into actionable data testing approaches.
• KPI Tracking: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and track key performance indicators related to data quality and testing.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Big Data and Cloud Migration Projects: Strong experience in handling Big Data and cloud migration projects.
• Data Migration and ETL Testing: Expertise in data migration testing and ETL testing techniques.
• Test Scenario Management: Experience in managing test scenarios and requirement gathering processes, as well as estimating for the same.
• Data Quality and KPI Tracking: Familiarity with data quality assessment and KPI tracking.
• Database Technologies: Hands-on experience with database technologies such as DB2, Oracle, and MS SQL for enterprise applications.
• Scheduling Tools: Proficiency in scheduling tools like Control-M and ESP.
• Data Testing Tools: Prior experience with data testing tools like Informatica.
• Stakeholder and Program Management: Proficiency in stakeholder and program management.
• Data Testing Strategies: Strong capability in devising and implementing data testing strategies and solutions.
• Pre-Sales and Proposal Experience: Experience in pre-sales and proposal works to create additional business in data testing areas.
