Overview:
A boutique accounting services firm specializing in quarterly 10-Q filings for Nasdaq, OTC, and Canadian companies is seeking a highly skilled Sales & Marketing Specialist to execute a detailed sales and marketing strategy. This contractor will be responsible for implementing key aspects of the firm’s go-to-market plan, including website optimization, lead generation, CRM setup, and email marketing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving new business growth, improving customer acquisition costs (CAC), and maximizing conversion rates.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Website Optimization for Conversion:
• Conduct a UX/UI audit of current website. Identify problems. Optimize lead capture & conversions.
• Refine design CTAs.
• Replace forms with HubSpot. Integrate with CRM to centralize leads & track conversions efficiently.
• Ensure website is mobile-responsive & highly performant to prevent drop-offs from potential clients.
2. CRM Setup and Sales Funnel Tracking:
• Implement configure HubSpot CRM to track leads from capture through statuses to conversion.
• Define sales funnel stages especially for 10-Q filing services, ensuring leads are tracked through TOFU
(awareness), MOFU (evaluation), and BOFU (conversion).
• Train team on CRM processes. Automate tasks like lead nurturing, follow-up reminders, & status reports.
3. Lead Generation and Segmentation:
• Build outbound prospecting lists using lead gen tools like ZoomInfo or Apollo, targeting CFOs and
financial executives at Nasdaq, OTC, and Canadian public companies.
• Segment leads by industry, filing requirements (Nasdaq, OTC, Canada), and company size to create
tailored messaging and outreach strategies.
• Implement & manage email marketing campaigns designed to engage key decision-makers and
generate interest in quarterly filing services.
4. Email Marketing Campaign Execution:
• Develop & execute targeted email drip campaigns to engage new leads, nurture existing clients, & up-sell
other accounting services.
• Monitor campaign performance, adjust content based on open and click-through rates, and optimize to
increase intake meetings (targeting 20-30 per month).
• Create automated reminders and personalized outreach for key filing deadlines (e.g., quarterly filings,
regulatory changes) to position the firm as a trusted partner for compliance.
5. LinkedIn Profile Optimization and Growth:
• Audit and enhance the firm’s LinkedIn profile, optimizing for client-facing content that highlights the firm’s
expertise in quarterly filings for public companies.
• Create and manage a content calendar focused on regulatory updates, compliance best practices, and
case studies of successful 10-Q filings.
• Manage LinkedIn ad campaigns targeting CFOs, controllers, and legal teams at public companies to drive
engagement and grow followers by 300-500% over six months.
6. Sales Materials Development:
• Create one-sheets, case studies, and landing pages specific to quarterly 10-Q filing services, addressing
common pain points such as compliance, accuracy, and timely submissions.
• Work with design teams to create visually appealing and informative materials that can be distributed via
email, LinkedIn, and at relevant industry conferences.
7. CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost) Analysis and Monitoring:
• Work with team to estimate CAC for new client acquisitions and existing client up-sell opportunities.
• Continuously monitor and adjust marketing efforts based on CAC performance, ensuring that marketing
dollars are efficiently driving revenue growth.
• Use CAC and other key metrics (conversion rates, sales cycle length) as benchmarks to assess the success
of the sales and marketing strategy.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
• 7 years of experience in executing B2B sales and marketing strategies, preferably within financial
services or public accounting firms.
• Experience leading CRM systems (HubSpot preferred) & managing lead-to-sales
pipelines.
• Demonstrated ability to optimize websites for conversion rates and lead generation, particularly for niche
services such as regulatory compliance and 10-Q filings.
• Expertise in lead generation, list building, and email marketing automation tools (e.g., MailChimp,
HubSpot).
• Strong understanding of sales funnels, including TOFU, MOFU, and BOFU stages, and the ability to map
services accordingly.
• Hands-on experience growing LinkedIn profiles and driving engagement in highly specialized industries
such as financial services, compliance, or legal.
• Detail-oriented with excellent project management skills, ensuring timely delivery of all project milestones
and tasks.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
