Job Overview: The major responsibility of the Sales Manager is to meet sales and profit goals by recruiting, educating, and motivating quality, fashionable, sales associates. EXCELS and 5- Star Selling, merchandise flow, presentation, and inventory control are crucial to achieve sales and profitability goals. Good communication skills among associates, supervisors and customers are essential for success.
Sales & Margins
Achieve Sales Plan by goal setting with associates (Goal Sheet)
Review personal sales each month with associates (IPSS)
Review department sales quarterly with associates (DDSF)
Establish Plan of Action to improve underdeveloped business
Understand Gross Margin and markdown dollars / percent in relationship to your business
Engage in EXCELS and Five Star Selling and coaching and lead by example
Recruiting, Educating & Coaching
Recruit / Interview / Hire World Class People
Educate on EXCELS and 5-Star Selling skills, product knowledge, all systems and procedures
Motivate by setting goals, utilizing goal sheets and communicating standards and being firm but fair
Track and Coach to Service Indicators, and identify low producers utilizing the “We Care” program
Establish good verbal and written communication
Read, react and communicate to email several times daily
Customer Service
Ensure all associates are in dress code and wearing name tag
Ensure all associates are greeting / smiling at every customer executing EXCELS and 5 Star Selling and all customers are being taken care of.
Motivate each sales associate to obtain one credit application per 40 hours worked and C@D actions
Sales Managers have store responsibility of floor walk to assure customer service and satisfaction
Use good judgment and common sense when dealing with customer situations
Merchandising
Verify merchandise directives have been printed, communicated, and executed
Merchandise throughout area must have visual impact
Follow visual guidelines per corporate standards book and directives
Know Best Sellers and ad merchandise
Communicate Best Sellers weekly to management and buyers
Staffing
Ensure 100% usage of planned PASS hours weekly
Ensure daily staffing on high volume days and ad days
Ensure weekend and night coverage meet minimum staffing requirements
Inventory Control
Process new fashion receipts, merchandise to front of department with visual interest
Execute price changes on a daily basis and ensure ticketing accuracy
Prepare and execute inventory
Competition
Know competitors’ pricing and policies
Meet pricing on legitimate competition

Pay: $53,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
