POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources Director is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to managers and staff in the areas of, employee relations, performance management, recognition, employment law compliance, HR policies, benefits, training, and documentation and recordkeeping. The position develops programs to engage employees and formulate partnerships across the Company to collaborate and deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. The HR Manager serves as an advisor to business leaders regarding HR policies and processes in order to optimize employee engagement and productivity. The HR Director maintains an effective level of business knowledge about the business unit's long-term plans and internal talent. The ideal candidate will have a combination of strong Human Resources (HR) and business acumen skills, a collaborative approach, and the ability to thrive in a self-directed environment.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has 3 reports.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
· Reinforces desired company culture and core values. Partners with leadership to define and reinforce clear individual and departmental roles & responsibilities and performance expectations.
· Monitors employee metrics and provides dashboard reporting to executives for visibility regarding internal employment trends, along with recommended solutions.
· Manages and resolves employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations and maintains appropriate documentation. Guides managers with the disciplinary process and documentation as needed.
· Conducts training on company policies and procedures and assists with updates as needed. Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
· Communicates compensation and benefits program information to maximize employee awareness and understanding of offerings.
· Oversees benefit plan renewals in conjunction with CFO and handles the planning of open enrollment, new enrollments, life events, elections, and other changes to employee benefit plan participation. Oversees distribution of required notices and filings.
· Implements automation of HR information systems for efficiency and improved end-user experience. Monitors and maintains the accuracy of employee records, including timekeeping and approvals, and benefits administration.
· Coaches and trains managers in their communication, feedback, recognition, and interaction responsibilities with the employees who report to them. Makes certain that the managers know how to successfully, ethically, honestly, and legally communicate with employees.
· Coordinates the off-boarding process for employee separations, obtaining appropriate company confidential information. Conducts exit interviews when possible.
· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
· Implements the site EHS System in accordance with agreed internal standards, and legal and corporate requirements, performing EHS Audits and following through on the timely completion of findings & actions. Performs incident investigations, root cause analysis, and EHS corrective and preventive actions.
· Leads EHS improvement projects from concept through to implementation to completion. Provides EHS Guidance to the site - advises on risk prevention opportunities and controls, including hazardous materials handling, waste management, or other relevant areas that should arise.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 6 years of Human Resources experience
- B.S. Degree in a related discipline required
- MS/MBA highly desirable
- PHR/SPHR preferred
- Excited to work in the office with great teammates
- High level of influencing, coaching, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- An experienced partner: comfortable building meaningful relationships with hiring managers and business partners across departments and at all levels

Pay: $125,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
