Lead, Labor Relations

DIRECTV is seeking a Lead of Labor Relations. This strategic leader will be responsible for pre-bargaining research, creating briefings for officers, working on subcommittee assignments, as well as the development and distribution of all major bargaining documents. While this is not a supervisory role, this individual contributor will be critical to the DIRECTV Labor Organization’s ability to successfully attain their business goals. Additional key responsibilities of this role include:

• Formulate and implement the organization's labor relations policy upon approval.
• Responsible for economic and cost impact analysis, as well as general research and analysis of the labor relations environment, and creating ad hoc reports to respond to the data requests from the unions.
• Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in relation to labor related matters.
• Represents the organization in dealings with government agencies such as the National Labor Relations Board and the Wage-Hour Division of the U.S. Department of Labor.
• In some cases may provide training or mentoring to less experienced staff and may provide feedback for the evaluation of new staff.

What you'll need to be successful:

• Typically 5 - 8 years of experience in a related field
• Expert in Excel and creating reports is required
• Experience using Workday is preferred
