OVERVIEW OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Dirty Habit Manager of Event Sales and Marketing

What you get to do: The primary goal of the Manager of Event Sales and Marketing is to maximize revenues and profitability within the restaurant while keeping abreast of current market trends, Dirty Habit standards/directives, and practice total asset management.
Your day-to-day:
DEPARTMENTAL PERFORMANCE:
• Effectively sell and service to all markets, local and national
• Build/maintain relationships with current and past clients
• Write effective contracts and Banquet Event Orders to communicate appropriately with clients and internal F&B team
• Create and execute annual and quarterly marketing plans
• Develop and execute growth strategies and action plans
• Work in conjunction with the Hotel Sales and Catering Department to maximize exposure of Dirty Habit
• Monitor and communicate industry trends within the marketplace
• Ensure proper adoption and utilization of Tripleseat and efficient departmental systems
• Work in conjunction with F&B Management on departmental expenses, staffing guidelines, and office organization
COMMUNICATION PERFORMANCE:
• Attend weekly restaurant managers’ meetings
• Support communication and cross-selling between hotel/restaurant sales teams
• Participate in sales blitzes
• Share industry trends, strategies, and news with on-site hotel/restaurant teams
FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE:
• Keep abreast of event sales performance relative to budget and forecast
• Work with Finance Department to maintain PCI compliance within the restaurant division
• Attend monthly P&L reviews to inform the Asset Manager of the performance and strategies of the Event Sales Department
• Report to General Manager on monthly forecasting reports
REPORTING STANDARDS & GUIDELINES: The Director of Event Sales & Marketing has reporting responsibilities to the Restaurant General Manager, and Director of Operations, and works in conjunction with F&B Management. The Director of Event Sales must effectively build good working relationships, communicate and 'report out' to both operational divisions (hotel and restaurant).
Specific experience we're seeking:
• We are seeking someone with great sales savvy and know-how
• Ideally, you have 3-5 years of event sales or catering sales experience in a similar environment
• Recent knowledge and use of Tripleseat is a plus
• Ability to work a varied work schedule (days, nights, weekends, holidays as needed)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
