You will support the Walt Disney Company (TWDC) 2030 environmental goals. The Manager, Environmental Programs is part of the Facilities and Operations Services (FOS) organization responsible for technical and infrastructure solution development in emissions, water, and waste. FOS includes engineering, maintenance, utilities, manufacturing, construction, distribution services, and project management organizations across the Walt Disney World Resort.
The Manager, Environmental Programs, will be a direct report to the Director of Reedy Creek Energy Services.
The Manager, Environmental Programs leads the Walt Disney World (WDW) Program Management Office (PMO) for Emissions Scope 1 and 2 reductions and Water Conservation. You will seek and aggregate input from partners across WDW to develop a long-term strategy to achieve the 2030 TWDC goals for emission reductions and water conservation. On an annual basis, the Manager, Environmental Programs, looks for input from partners, identifies and prioritizes (using cost-benefit analysis) a list of plans for approval by the WDW Environmental Steering Committee. This role also uses project management and control skills and systems to track project deliverables and understand risk to delivering the portfolio within budget. We are looking for a challenging balance of leadership, influence, technical portfolio management, and process improvement and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities :
- Provide management to one (1) salaried individual contributor
- Oversee the annual execution of approximately $5M in technical and infrastructure efficiency plans to reduce emissions and conserve water.
- Provides informal direction and aggregates information from work streams within the PMO such as stationary fuel reduction, reduced-emission fuels, and fleet optimization, and emissions reduction plans within WDW's energy supply from Reedy Creek Improvement District (RCID).
- Participate in and tracks activities related to FOS in other WDW environmental PMOs related to Scope 3 emissions reduction, waste reduction, and implementation of sustainable design standards.
- Communicate with teams across WDW to help Cast Members understand the TWDC 2030 Environmental Goals and the work in progress across WDW to achieve these goals.
- Ensure internal and external data collection requirements are met for WDW, partnering with FOS and other partners across WDW.
- Support TWDC internal and external reporting.
- Support WDW water conversation strategy rollout & implementation including regional watershed teams and investment strategies.
- Lead data-driven efforts with partners to identify opportunities to improve processes, practices, and performance using performance metrics, analysis, and scorecards.
- Directly influence senior technical and site executive leaders at WDW.
- Cultivate relationships within FOS and with partners in WDI, IFP, Finance, Environmental Integration, and Corporate Social Responsibility.
Basic Qualifications :
- 5 years of experience in project management delivering large initiatives
- 5 years of experience managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior management and executives.
- Experience working in a large, matrixed organization with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience defining program requirements and using data to determine improvements
- Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with sustainability efforts in emissions reductions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with sustainability efforts in water conservation
- Sustainable Design related certification or educational experience
Required Education :

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- PMP Certification
