Position Description:
A Distinctive Schools Regional Technology Coordinator works as a part of our regional support team reporting to the Director of IT Strategy for coordination of roles and responsibilities to support our school buildings, staff, and students in a 1:1 environment. Additionally, this role will coordinate with school leaders in regard to their availability and on-site duties. The Technology Coordinator will also work as part of an extended network support team overseen by the Director of IT Strategy to support regional and network-wide technology projects. This person will:
Systems Support
Coordinate with the IT Engineer to troubleshoot and resolve school infrastructure issues (internet, security, server, telecoms)
Coordinate with extended team members on project work with cloud-hosted or on-premise technology platforms
Client Support
Monitor/Resolve requests through central ticketing system for staff, student, and family
Troubleshoot, upgrade, and perform basic repairs for student and staff devices (screens, keyboards, etc..)
Provide support for specialized lab equipment (e,g Maker Space, STEAM Labs, etc..)
Troubleshoot, maintain, and replace classroom technology (projectors, smartTVs, AV)
Classroom and event support to help setup and take down technology
Instructional Support
Support teachers in professional development with digital tools for instruction (i.e. training for software and hardware as needed)
Helping build out support documentation and other knowledge base content
Working with students to help support and promote good digital citizenship
Administrative Support
Update and maintain the central asset management platform and conduct audits of physical assets
Rostering, content caching, and other support services for instructional and assessment related platforms
Providing feedback to Regional team members on status of projects and workload
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business, Communications, related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 2 Years experience in technical support role
Excellent customer service in face-to-face or remote environments
Strong written and oral communications
Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Reliable transportation to travel between schools as needed
Preferred
Education Technology support background with hardware & software
Experience supporting macOS, iOS, ChromeOS, and Windows devices in a networked environment
Experience with Google Workspace, JAMF or comparable mobile device management platforms
Experience with utilizing a central ticketing system to track updates and resolutions
