Job Title: - IT - Desktop Technician

Location: - Annandale New Jersey 08801 (On-Site)

Job Type: - Long Term Contract

Primary Functions

• Project technical support:
• Schedule workstations for anti-virus replacement; report progress to project team
• Backup workstations
• Uninstall Symantec EndPoint Protection Software
• Install Sentinel One
• Troubleshooting issues related to S1 deployment
• Misc.
• Observe company safety & security guidelines
• Document all processes and procedures as needed and share findings with peers
• Work with external vendors as required to resolve issues, test solutions, and implement fixes

Attributes

• Effective engagement with IT support teams and project manager.
• The role is a customer-intimate support model and requires great communication skills and a strong focus on customer service.
• Ability to work independently to plan, organize and execute work across a large set of users and desktops.
• Motivated individual who is willing to drive project work to completion, be challenged and able to work under changing priorities/systems.

Required Skills

• Anti-virus Software for Windows desktops
• Preferred: Sentinel One, Symantec EndPoint Protection
• Backup tools
• Preferred: Ghost, Acronis, Symantec System Recovery, Veritas System Recovery, Veeam
• Windows desktop troubleshooting

Preferred Skills

• SCCM
• PowerShell, Batch, CMD
• Advanced Desktop Infrastructure background
