Labor & Employment Litigation Associate
Location: Denver, CO Salary: $100k – $125k
Diverse Talent is currently working with a client who is seeking to hire a full-time associate attorney. This position does not require any specific employment litigation experience. A successful candidate should be interested in defending cases where Plaintiffs have alleged violations of Title VII, ADEA, ADA, FMLA, Wage and Hour law, etc., and Workers’
Compensation Retaliation. The attorney will also be involved with commercial litigation.
Besides litigation, the attorney will provide employment law advice and counseling to employers on the above laws and Colorado and other states employment laws, making experience in communicating with clients a plus. The attorney will draft statements of position to the EEOC and CCRD, discovery, and motions to dismiss and for summary judgment. The attorney must be licensed to practice law in Colorado. Being licensed to practice law in additional rocky mountain states is a plus. This position is open to all levels of experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years of experience required
- Demonstrated ability to draft pleadings on their own with writing and editing skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to conduct legal research, analyze case law and statutes, and effectively advocate for firm clients
