The Territory Account Executive is responsible for maintaining and growing existing business, attracting new clients, winning new accounts, and maximizing profitability within the assigned sales territory. This individual will work with prospects through the entire sales and maintenance cycle, including developing new leads, educating prospects, and turning interested customers into long-term customers by servicing them regularly.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Partner with Diversey's current hospitality customers and provides recommendations with comprehensive chemical products and programs designed to meet their needs. In this role, you'll need to show safe equipment use and ensure your customers' operation and team are fully functional and adequately trained. You should leverage tools and technology (including tablet and mobile phone apps) to conduct service visits and recommend unique programs and solutions to customers.
As the key salesperson in the territory assigned to you, you will have to cultivate new leads and close new deals at a high rate; you will also maintain records of all sales leads and customer accounts in Salesforce. You represent the Diversey brand during all customer and prospect interactions and communicate Diversey's total value proposition to the customer to meet their needs and also grow sales within existing customer accounts.
Serve as the face of Diversey's technical service team, which includes organizing large equipment installations for housekeeping, Laundry, and Kitchen; with the support of Diversey's technical team and application experts, you will use your knowledge and skills to conduct customer training.
To maintain the customer base, you will be servicing laundries and dish machines, dispensing equipment, and systems that support Diversey's chemical business. You will also provide recommendations on advanced cleaning and sanitation programs and solutions that drive a positive guest experience and create a cleaner, safer, and healthier environment.
This role requires extensive traveling in your territory to visit customers regularly and manage multiple accounts simultaneously to educate customers on how Diversey products or services can benefit them financially and operationally. You will also monitor and report the company's industry competitors' activity and market conditions.
Routine visits: Visit customers per plan, following service level agreements. Maintain dosing equipment platform in working conditions. Demonstrate safe equipment use. Training customers on Safety Data Sheets, cleaning procedures, product Information, check on inventory/PAR stock /Purchasing Orders/ Diversey program compliance. Recap areas of focus, pending issues follow up, capture customer satisfaction - Voice of Customer.
Break/Fix: Diagnose, and resolve technical problems and conditions that drive poor results/customer complaints. Repair Diversey Dishwasher machines and Dosing and Dispensing Equipment following priorities and time responses agreed on in the service level agreement.
Administrative Duties: Complete timesheet daily. Follow up on equipment and parts purchasing orders. Manage adequate inventory levels in Truck and Storage units, recording consumption of equipment and parts at customer sites for cost allocation purposes. Review the weekly customer visit plan with your manager.
Complete paid annual training program. Safety training is mandated.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Selling experience in laundry, food service, and the hospitality industry.
Valid US driver's license.
Ability to lift objects up to 35lbs and execute precise work with hands in limited spaces
Computer technology experience - Email, Excel, Word, Google Applications, Cell Apps.
Availability to provide emergency assistance to customers, which may occur at night, on weekends, and over holidays
Previous technical problem-solving experience (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical experience) in the food service, laundry, and housekeeping industries is a must.
Due to local mandates and customer requirements, applicants for certain customer-facing positions must be fully vaccinated.
- The currentpayrange for this position is $54,000 to $76,400.Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon, but may not be limited to, the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.
- For 2023, this position is eligible to participate in the Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) in accordance with the plan document.
