What are the responsibilities and job description for the CMM/Leica Operator position at Diversified Tooling Group?
Essential Functions:
Conduct part layouts and capability studies to assure parts meet or exceed dimensional requirements of the customer.
Maintain calibration systems.
Maintain gauges in good working order.
Establish and maintain annual part/gauge layout schedules.
Evaluate CMM data for accuracy, prior to submission.
Prepare reports for internal and external customers and interface as appropriate.
Write CMM programs.
Maintain CMM & CMM software in good working order.
Provide CMM data for sample part submission.
Required Education and Experience :
Minimum three (3) years’ experience as a CMM programmer/operator in PCDMIS and Spatial Analyzer preferred.
General knowledge of Quality Systems (i.e. ISO 9001, TS 16949 etc.).
Experience in calibration methods and use of measuring tools.
Technical math skills.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
Root cause/problem solving ability.
Good understanding of GD&T.
Ability to read blueprints.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
