What are the responsibilities and job description for the Order Picker position at DIY Group?
A 6RS picker will follow behind a robot cart throughout the warehouse and pick items off the shelves, place in appropriate box, and follow directions on the touch screen computer. The robot cart will direct picker through the warehouse in the most efficient manner for picking the items on the cart. Picker will complete one cart, then move on to the next
The picker MAY also be cross-trained to help process orders depending on business need on any given day. See description below.
A 6RS processors will use a touchscreen computer and a RF gun scanner to scan product, place in a box, generate a packing slip and shipping label, place on the box and set it on the line to be shipped out.
· Must be able to use a touchscreen to process orders
· Must be able to use an RF gun to scan bar codes on product
· Must be able to follow directions for packing order (these will appear on the touchscreen monitor)
· Must be able to be on feet and/or walk entire day (7 or more hours/day) on concrete floor
· Must be able to work scheduled hours M-F; OT will be available
· Must be able to use touch screen to pick orders
· Must be able to follow directions on robot carts for picking items
· Must be able to meet the UPH pick goal after training period of 120UPH.
· Complete other jobs that may be assigned by team leader/manager.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
