Job Title: DRC Manufacturing Manager Reports To: VP, Operations & Supply Chain Location: Mequon, WI Business Unit Description: Footcare Solutions Job Title/High Level Position Summary: At Dr. Comfort® we understand the importance of foot care and are committed to helping people get back on their feet. As a key member of the Footcare Solutions Team, you will play an integral part in helping Enovis drive the medical technology industry forward through transforming patient care and creating better patient outcomes. The Manufacturing Manager has primary responsibility for the manufacturing facility’s overall performance in safety, quality, customer delivery and product costs. These primary responsibilities include maintaining company policies and procedures as well as all applicable Federal, State and Local regulations. Functional responsibilities will be to work with all direct reports and cross-functional partners to establish common goals and objectives aligned with the strategic positioning of the manufacturing site and the product portfolio. This position is a key member of the Operations Management Team for the Foot Care Solutions (FCS) Business. Key Responsibilities: Lead an organization through an unprecedented period of change in Medical Device Manufacturing. Engage the entire management team to search, acquire and retain talent across all rolls in the organization. Build strong employee relations with open communication, respect, consistent application of policies, continuous improvement, and empowerment of team members. Establish novel paradigms for the acquisition of labor in a highly competitive market. Bridge a diverse ethnic, generational, educational and socio-economic workforce to perform under the Enovis Cultural Dimensions and Behaviors. Drive a talent management plan geared toward ensuring development of key personnel and redundancy in critical functions. Develop clear goals and objectives that drive a common focus and effort across the site leadership team. Provide recurring and regular feedback on team and individual performance. Create a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement through the deployment of the Enovis Growth Excellence (EGX) system. Identify and implement process improvements in safety, 5S, lean manufacturing, quality, planning and sourcing and achieve key performance measurements related to personnel safety, quality, customer delivery, and cost. Establish routine use of root cause and countermeasure (RCCM) tools to drive a habit of continuous improvement. Implement/Improve daily management for manufacturing output and quality, as well as planning and sourcing. Lead site operations and track KPI’s to ensure business achieves performance standards in all manufacturing and sourcing metrics. Responsible for cost reduction, sourcing savings, and performance improvement. Collaborate with leadership to develop and achieve company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on effective and efficient operations and improvement in processes. Drive effective supply planning and execution processes to ensure the site is positioned to service our customers. Development of manufacturing processes to ease labor acquisition, ensure sufficient capacity and produce products at predetermined cost targets. Develop specific short-term and long-term plans and investments to improve productivity and capacity, prepare funding requests with budgets and justifications as needed. Build relationships with Cross-functional Partners in Sales and Customer Service to understand customer feedback and drive improvement in delivery time, quality, cost, service, and responsiveness. Establish rough cut capacity planning processes for labor and equipment to ensure visibility to requirement and take actions to obtain adequate resource. Educate and develop teams to provide and maintain cross-training matrices to ensure adequate staffing by process across all functions in the factory. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. Instill confidence in Senior Leadership by providing comprehensive understanding of the performance, forecast, risks and opportunities associated with the plant and its contributions to the DRC business. Participate in routine reviews of the DRC Business, communicating results and action plans to meet the performance objectives of the plant. Ensure timely escalation of challenges that impact plant performance or customer delivery. Participate in cross-site and cross-business efforts to both share and adopt best practices throughout the Enovis network. Minimum Basic Qualifications: Experience Bachelor’s degree is preferred. High School Diploma / GED with 10 years of increasingly responsible manufacturing experience and direct management experience. Direct experience building and instilling a “best in class” manufacturing environment. Experience developing and implementing Lean practices and KPI action plans for manufacturing improvement priorities. Experience in operations, supply chain and planning management. Demonstrated knowledge and application history of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement. Collaborative management style which builds strong teamwork culture Clear understanding of financial principles for operations, including firm understanding of cost, inventory, and P&L Strong background in industry standard safety processes Demonstrated ability to lead change and gain followership. Ability to communicate verbally and in written form effectively with a diverse team. Industry Knowledge Understanding of medical and technical terminology related to foot conditions and proper orthosis application. Understanding the different principles of foot orthosis design Understanding of materials used and the different techniques of foot orthosis fabrication. Understanding shoe construction and principles of shoe fitting and shoe modifications Travel Requirements: Travel <10% domestic Work Environment And Physical Demands Typical Manufacturing environment Climate Control Environment Must be able to sit, stand, or walk up to 8 hours a day Must be able to frequently carry (up to 30 feet each time) up to 60 lbs Have full range of motion of the waist and neck Have unrestricted use of upper extremities and preform over-head reaching Frequently bend (to the floor), twist, and kneel “Creating better together”.
