What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laser/Deburr 1st shift position at DJO Surgical?
Job Description:
Utilizes a fundamental knowledge of manufacturing principles, including machine operation and interfaces and basic high precision skills, to perform activities and processes involved in the production of tight or high tolerance components in accordance to established specifications. Utilizes various powered and non-powered tools, equipment, measuring devices and small machinery for profiling, measuring, calibrating, deburr, engraving and marking of parts. Works from verbal instructions, blueprints, specifications and diagrams. Cleans up of all grinding and filing and all related burr removal for precision machined components. Checks and inspects work with precision instruments. Promptly and accurately completes all required recordkeeping. Keeps surrounding area clean, safe and organized. Responsible for keeping all labor hours with time system accurately. May require knowledge of ANSI dimensioning standards. May interface directing with Manufacturing engineers. Little or no knowledge of the job, acquires job skills and procedures to complete routine tasks. Has little judgement and decision making under close supervision. Typically less than 1 year of experience.
