TITLE:

Uniform Security Officer

ABOUT THE JOB:

Be a part of protecting Michigan's vital energy infrastructure construction projects. Monitor construction sites and account for their equipment. Perform vehicle patrols if required, control access to the construction sites, and observe and report any suspicious activities.

SITE LOCATION:

Between Marion, MI and Harrison, MI.

PAY RATE:

$13.75/hr, based on currently negotiated contract, subject to increase.

SCHEDULE:

2nd and 3rd shifts various days from Monday through Sunday.
Average between 16 and 32 hours per officer per week.

REQUIREMENTS:

This is an entry-level position, however, prior experience in security, law enforcement, or the military is preferred.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to provide at least a high school diploma, GED, or college degree.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with no major violations, less than 3 moving violations, and less than 2 at-fault accidents all within the last 3 years.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must not have been convicted of any felonies.
• Must not have been convicted of any misdemeanors involving theft, property damage, assault, abuse, or other crimes of moral terptitude.
• Must be able to walk long distances and up and down stairs.
• Must be ablt to sit, stand, stay awake and alert, and work indoors and outdoors in any weather conditions for 8 to 12 hours at a time.
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen including marijuana at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.
• Must present a positive and friendly attitude, have good personal hygeine, adhere to our company-wide grooming standards, properly wear the issued uniform, and always exhibit professional behavior.
• Must be able to read and write in the English language.
• Must be able to be comfortable, exhibit sound judgement, and remain calm in confrontational situations.
